Connect MCP

Claude

Use Floo in claude.ai and Claude Desktop as a custom connector, or install the Floo extension for Claude Desktop.

Claude connects to Floo as a custom connector. A connector you add on claude.ai is also available in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps. Custom connectors are available on Claude's paid plans; on Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to allow them.

Add the connector

The quickest way is Add to Claude in the Connect agent dialog on any canvas: Claude opens with the name and address filled in. To add it by hand:

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors (or Customize → Connectors) and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Floo and paste the server address:
https://worker.floo.design/mcp
  1. Click Add, then Connect. Sign in to Floo in the browser tab that opens and approve the connection.

To add the Apps library on its own, add a second connector named Floo Apps with this address:

https://worker.floo.design/mcp/apps

Use it in a chat

Start a new chat, open the tools menu and make sure Floo is enabled, then send the starter message from the Connect agent dialog:

Work on Floo canvas cnv_8hQ2x. Start with get_guide and follow it.

Claude Desktop extension

If you prefer a local install, Connect agent → Claude → Desktop app downloads the Floo extension with the server address already filled in. Open the file with Claude Desktop (or use Settings → Extensions → Advanced settings → Install Extension), enable it, and sign in when the browser opens. It needs Node.js 20 or newer.

You can also add Floo to claude_desktop_config.json yourself through mcp-remote, which handles the sign-in:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "floo": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://worker.floo.design/mcp"]
    }
  }
}

The file is in ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/ on macOS and %APPDATA%\Claude\ on Windows. Restart Claude Desktop after editing it.

Notes

  • claude.ai connects from the internet, so it needs Floo's public HTTPS address. A Floo running on localhost only works with the Desktop extension.
  • To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude, or revoke it in Floo under Settings → Agent keys → Connected apps.
