VS Code
Use Floo from GitHub Copilot's agent mode in Visual Studio Code.
VS Code runs MCP servers for GitHub Copilot Chat in agent mode.
Add the server
Run MCP: Add Server… from the Command Palette, choose HTTP, paste the address below and name it floo. Pick Global to use it everywhere, or Workspace for the current project.
https://worker.floo.design/mcp
Or from a terminal:
code --add-mcp '{"name":"floo","type":"http","url":"https://worker.floo.design/mcp"}'
Or edit mcp.json
For one project, create .vscode/mcp.json. For every project, run MCP: Open User Configuration. Note that VS Code calls the list servers:
{
"servers": {
"floo": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://worker.floo.design/mcp"
},
"floo-apps": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://worker.floo.design/mcp/apps"
}
}
}
floo-apps is optional: it is the Apps library on its own.
Sign in
Click Start above the server in mcp.json (or run MCP: List Servers → floo → Start Server). VS Code asks to sign in: approve access to Floo in the browser.
Without a browser
With an agent key, let VS Code prompt for it once and store it securely, instead of writing it in the file:
{
"inputs": [
{
"type": "promptString",
"id": "floo-agent-key",
"description": "Floo agent key",
"password": true
}
],
"servers": {
"floo": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://worker.floo.design/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer ${input:floo-agent-key}"
}
}
}
}
Start designing
Open Copilot Chat, switch to Agent, check that Floo's tools are enabled in the tools picker, and send:
Work on Floo canvas cnv_8hQ2x. Start with get_guide and follow it.
